Exciting News from The Teaching for Technology Project

November 2023

This programme, run at Kwanokuthula Primary School and Plettenberg Bay Secondary School, is made possible thanks to the incredible support of the Bitou Municipality and Des Harrison!

Our mission is simple but powerful: Empower teachers and students with the tools they need to excel in the digital age.

What's Cooking?

  • We're enabling both schools to access fully functional computer labs.
  • We're providing part remuneration for computer lab assistants, ensuring a smoother learning experience.
  • We're covering the annual license fee for the OPTIMI CAMI software, a game-changer for education.

Individualised Learning at Its Best!

The CAMI educational software is a game-changer! It allows students from Grade 1 to Grade 12 to learn at their own pace, boosting their confidence and learning outcomes. With CAPS-aligned content integrated into daily lessons, learning has never been more engaging!

After-school sessions give students internet access for research tasks and allow teachers to offer additional help when needed.

 Student Feedback

Don't just take our word for it! Listen to the students from Plett Secondary School:

Student 1 in Grade 12 shared, "Being able to use Cami-lab really helped me revise for my exams. It helped me understand my schoolwork better. It also helped me with my university applications. With the teacher's help it was easier for me to get my applications done, she is really supportive."

Student 2 in Grade 10 is equally enthusiastic, saying, "Reason why I love the cami lab is because it helps us with our school work such as mathematics and physical sciences. We do lots of assignments on the computers on the Siyavula website that helps us grade 10-12 with our subjects. You can also accomplish a lot of learning using the computers. So we really do love the Cami lab."
