Meet Josephine Jacobs, our dedicated TIME (Together In My Education) tutor at Kranshoek! Josephine is making a remarkable impact on our young learners with the TIME project, helping to unlock a world of learning. This incredible project not only improves reading and writing but also builds vocabulary, pronunciation, maths, and essential life skills—all in a fun and engaging way!

Josephine loves how the TIME project brings excitement to the classroom. She’s seen firsthand how the learners eagerly anticipate entering the class each day, especially enjoying the playful challenges that create a strong bond between tutor and learner. Activities like spelling games and creating words out of playdough fill the children with awe as they master pronunciation and build their confidence. 

The Grade 1 learners are particularly thrilled by the games used to teach maths, and Josephine finds great joy in watching them light up with excitement as they grasp concepts through play.

Her manager noted, “I am extremely pleased with the TIME sessions and with Josephine’s performance as the tutor. I was amazed that the Grade R learners can work independently under her clear instruction, with writing skills above the norm for their age level.”
