Success at Eyethu Edu-Care Centre
The Methodist Church, Plettenberg Bay needed a principal to manage an Educare Centre in Bossiesgif. They approached the Bitou 10 Foundation and Sindiswa Olifant, an ECD Level 5 Bursary recipient was referred to the post, as she had received her training through the bursary Programme – funded by Vesco Plastics.
Olifant loves children and helps to develop them holistically, ensuring their success in the future. In just 2 months she has implemented a fun and interactive curriculum for her little scholars – 20 children ranging from 3 to 6 years of age.
“At Eyethu Educare Center we love children and want to raise our children to be independent individuals in a holistic environment – we want them to be happy and well taken care of,” says Olifant.
The school operates from 9am till 1pm weekly and the children receive the nutritious daily meals between accomplishing the daily tasks set out for them.
Olifant is very thankful for The Bitou 10 Foundation and St. Thomas Methodist Church’s contribution of materials needed and for the sponsors that ensure Eyethu Educare continues to succeed.
